Holly Humberstone Finds the Light on “Too Cute To Be Lonely”

Holly Humberstone is letting some light in. The British singer-songwriter has shared “Too Cute To Be Lonely,” a euphoric, dance-ready single that leads Cruel World…So It Ends, the deluxe edition of her second album, due November 13 via Interscope.

The track marks a brighter turn from the dark fairytale mood of Cruel World, with Humberstone pointing to ABBA, Madonna and Robyn as inspiration. Announcing the release on social media, she dedicated it to her girls and called it a song “for anyone who is lonely and making it cute.” She also shouted out collaborators Rob Milton, Benjamin Francis Leftwich and JT Daly.

The video, directed by Silken Weinberg, keeps the storybook visuals of the album era going. The deluxe edition adds five new songs to the original tracklist.

Cruel World arrived in April and debuted at No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart. Humberstone takes it on the road in January with a UK and Ireland tour, including a headline night at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on January 26, with Chloe Qisha supporting.
