Madonna Scores 10th No. 1 Album as Ken Carson and Sienna Spiro Crash the Top 10

Madonna is back on top. Confessions II, her first studio album since 2019’s Madame X, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning 134,000 equivalent album units in its opening week. The sequel to her 2005 dance floor classic reunites her with producer Stuart Price and marks her 10th career chart topper, making her only the fourth act ever to reach double digits on both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100. It’s also her best sales week since 2012 and her biggest streaming week ever.

She wasn’t alone at the top. Rapper Ken Carson notched his second top 10 album as “Xperiment” bowed at No. 7, while British newcomer Sienna Spiro made her chart debut with “Visitor” landing at No. 9, becoming the biggest British debut album of the year so far. Olivia Rodrigo held at No. 2, with Ella Langley, Morgan Wallen and Drake rounding out the top five.

Across the pond, Confessions II gave Madonna her 13th UK No. 1, putting her in an elite club alongside the Beatles as the only acts with 10 No. 1 albums on both the American and British charts. Not bad for an album whose lead singles didn’t exactly light up the charts on their own.

The Queen of Pop just proved once again that her crown isn’t going anywhere.
