Future just rewrote the record books again. His new album debuts atop the Billboard 200 this week, marking his 12th career No. 1 and pushing him past Eminem to stand alone in fifth place on the all time list of artists with the most chart topping albums. Only The Beatles, Drake, Taylor Swift and JAY Z now sit ahead of him.
The album moved 131,000 equivalent units in its opening week, easily clearing Olivia Rodrigo‘s project, which held steady at No. 2 in its fifth week on the chart. It’s Future’s first fully solo release since his 2024 run of collaborative albums with Metro Boomin, both of which also debuted at No. 1, and it arrives as his first project since the death of longtime friend and collaborator Young Scooter last year.
The rollout built serious momentum. The album was announced in mid June, with a release date confirmed shortly after, and its lead single hit the top 25 on both Hot Rap Songs and Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs ahead of the album’s arrival. Fans spent opening weekend debating favorite tracks and flooding social media with reactions, translating straight into streaming numbers strong enough to seal the top spot.
Future wasn’t the only story on this week’s chart. The Rolling Stones extended their own record for most top 10 albums with a fresh entry at No. 7, while the soundtrack to the hit series Heated Rivalry skated in at No. 9 following its release on CD and vinyl, rounding out a stacked week at the top of the Billboard 200.
