Ne-Yo, Sonu Nigam and MC Jin Launch Pacific Music Group in Hong Kong

Three music industry titans have teamed up to launch Pacific Music Group, a Hong Kong–based label focused on Asia’s booming music scene. The new company — announced Nov. 24 — is co-founded by R&B superstar NE-YO, Indian playback legend Sonu Nigam and pioneering Chinese-American rapper MC Jin, along with veteran Warner Music Asia executive Jonathan Serbin. Pacific Music Group says it will discover and develop Asia’s most promising talent and give international artists a powerful entry point into the region’s market. The label will span multiple genres (pop, R&B, hip-hop, electronic and regional Asian styles) and maintain offices across key Asian markets.

The founders stress that this is a personal mission. Ne-Yo explained, “Launching Pacific Music Group isn’t just a business move, it’s a personal mission.” He said that, as someone of Chinese descent, he’s proud to help elevate “the next generation of talented Pan-Asian superstars.” Sonu Nigam added, “With Pacific Music Group, we’re not just exporting talent, we’re helping artists thrive both at home and abroad.” MC Jin (who will head up the hip-hop imprint) noted that Asia is full of artists with unique stories waiting to reach a global stage. The label plans to unveil its first artists in the coming months, with debut releases slated for Fall 2025.
