Ella Langley is having a moment that is impossible to ignore. Her sophomore album, Dandelion, has officially debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making her one of country music’s biggest stories of 2026.
The album opened with 169,000 equivalent album units in its first week, earning the title of the biggest debut week for a country album by a woman in two years and the largest week for any woman on the chart so far this year. Of those units, 128,000 came from streaming alone, a reflection of just how deeply her audience has connected with the project.
Dandelion arrives on the heels of “Choosin’ Texas,” Langley’s crossover smash that spent six weeks at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, 20 weeks atop Hot Country Songs, and three weeks at No. 1 on Country Airplay. The single made her the first female artist in history to simultaneously lead all three of those charts.
With this debut, Langley and Megan Moroney (whose Cloud 9 topped the chart in March) have made history together. It marks the first time two different solo women have each claimed a No. 1 country album on the Billboard 200 in the same calendar year in over a decade.
In her own words about the record, Langley said, “I’ve never poured myself more into a project, into a song, into an idea. This record has fallen out so beautifully.” She also shared that a new duet with Morgan Wallen, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” is set for release this Friday, adding even more momentum to what is already shaping up to be a landmark year.
