Madonna to Drop New Dance Album in 2026, Reunites with Warner Records

Madonna is going back to where it all began – and back to the dance floor. The pop icon has announced she will release a new dance album next year, marking her first studio project in seven years, and she’s returning to Warner Records to do it. The deal reunites Madonna with the label that launched her career in the 1980s. After spending 25 years with Warner, she departed in 2007, but now the seven-time Grammy winner says it feels like a homecoming. “From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal, my world would never be the same,” Madonna reflected in a statement, recalling her early days with Warner. “I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future – making music, doing the unexpected, while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations,” she added.

The as-yet-untitled album is slated for 2026 and is expected to be a full-on dance record. Madonna has enlisted producer Stuart Price, her collaborator on 2005’s smash hit album Confessions on a Dance Floor, to help recapture that club magic. On Instagram, the 65-year-old superstar hinted the new project could be a spiritual sequel to Confessions, writing, “Back to music, back to the dance floor… back to where it all began! COADF Part 2 – 2026.” Warner Records executives called her return a “historic, full-circle moment” for the company and an “exciting new era” for Madonna. Fans are already buzzing that the Queen of Pop’s reunion with her old label signals a nostalgic, high-energy chapter ahead – one that will have everyone back out on the dance floor with her.
