Blackpink Unite for Comeback Single “Jump”

Global K-pop superstars Blackpink are back together, dropping a high-energy new single called “Jump.” It marks the quartet’s first release as a group since 2023, following a period in which Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa each pursued solo projects. Debuted live earlier this month during the opening of their Deadline world tour in Seoul, “Jump” is now out as an official track accompanied by a blockbuster music video directed by Dave Meyers.

Musically, “Jump” pushes Blackpink into bold new territory while keeping their signature swagger intact. The track opens with a Western-movie-style guitar riff before erupting into a hardstyle-influenced beat packed with powerful bass and an “unpredictable hook” that showcases each member’s distinct vocals. A YG Entertainment press release highlighted the song’s “intense, addictive energy” and “fearless experimentation,” saying “Jump” broadens Blackpink’s range in a way that still feels “fresh yet familiar” for fans.

On the credits side, “Jump” boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators: K-pop hitmaker Teddy Park co-wrote the song alongside international names like Diplo and 24, while production was handled by a team including Diplo and Boaz van de Beatz. The four members’ excitement to reunite is palpable. “By next year…I can’t wait to share with the girls what I’ve been doing,” Lisa had teased in an interview last year – and now that reunion has materialized with “Jump.” The single’s explosive reception signals that Blackpink’s group hiatus is officially over, and the queens of K-pop are ready to dominate together once again.
