Paloma Faith slams Little Mermaid
Singer, Paloma Faith, had a few choice words for the producers of the action version of, The Little Mermaid. In a now deleted tweet the singer says, “As a mother of girls I don’t want my kids to think it’s ok to give up your entire voice and your powers to love a man,” and then adds, “Wtf is this sh*t. Not what I want to be teaching next gen women at all.”
She followed this up after receiving backlash, “I think Halle gives a good performance and it’s great casting.” Interstingly enough back in 2009 she had a different opinion of the moview which the only starred a animated version of Ariel.
