It’s the crossover nobody saw coming until it happened. Zach Bryan and Lana Del Rey have joined forces on “Lies,” the standout from Bryan’s new EP Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs, released October 16.
The song first surfaced as a stripped-down clip Bryan shared on TikTok earlier this year. The studio version keeps that intimate feel, built on piano and sparkling strings. Bryan takes the first verse, and Del Rey’s faint laugh can be heard in the background before she slips in with her signature dreamy melancholy. Together they play two lovers who choose comforting lies over a truth they can’t handle.
Del Rey had already hinted at the team-up on Instagram. “Whale, we finally got our song done,” she wrote.
The eight-song EP also features fellow Oklahomans Turnpike Troubadours on “Plainsman.” It arrives months after With Heaven on Top, Bryan’s sprawling 25-song album released in January. He has also announced a 2027 tour across North America and Australia.
Meanwhile, Del Rey fans are still waiting on her long-teased album Stove.
