Carly Rae Jepsen is officially returning with her biggest project to date. The beloved Canadian pop artist has announced Day and Night, a 24-track double album dropping September 18 via Interscope Records.
The concept is as straightforward as it is ambitious: two distinct LPs of 12 songs each, split between contrasting sonic worlds. Day is described as organic and raw, drawing on live instrumentation and ’70s-inspired psychedelic pop. Night goes somewhere darker and sleeker, venturing into synth-driven dance-pop territory.
Jepsen recorded the project alongside a tight circle of collaborators, including Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert, and her husband Cole M.G.N., with whom she wed in 2025 following a studio session introduction. The couple welcomed their first child together in March 2026, making this a banner era for the artist on multiple fronts.
Fans got their first hint that something was coming via Jepsen’s website, which played two different instrumental snippets for 12 hours each on June 1. Signed postcards and cryptic social posts followed, sending her devoted fanbase into a full investigation spiral.
The lead single, “On Wires,” arrives this Friday. Jepsen will then headline New York City’s All Things Go Festival on September 27 alongside Zara Larsson, Lola Young, Brandi Carlile, and Muna, marking her first headlining live performance of 2026.
The announcement comes three years after 2022’s The Loneliest Time and its 2023 companion collection The Loveliest Time, as well as a celebrated 10th anniversary show for the fan-favorite album Emotion at the Troubadour in Los Angeles last August.
Day and Night is available for pre-order now.
