Olivia Rodrigo has done it again, and this time she did it bigger than ever.
Her third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated June 27, making Rodrigo the first act in Billboard history to have her first three studio albums each debut at the top of the chart. She’s also the first artist to have the lead singles from all three debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
The album moved 485,000 equivalent album units in its first week, the largest debut of 2026 for any solo artist, surpassing Drake‘s Iceman and delivering the biggest week of Rodrigo’s career. Pure sales accounted for 273,000 of those units, while vinyl purchases alone hit 164,000, both standing as her best format performances to date.
Released June 12 via Geffen Records, the 13-track set features a standout collaboration with the Cure’s Robert Smith, marking the first time another artist has appeared on one of Rodrigo’s studio albums. It was preceded by the No. 1 smash “Drop Dead” and the top-five follow-up “The Cure.”
“No matter how hard I try to write love songs they always come out laced with a little melancholy,” Rodrigo said when announcing the record. “I am so proud of this album, and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
The album also debuted at No. 1 in the United Kingdom and Australia, and generated 401.7 million Spotify streams globally in its first week. Rodrigo hits the road September 25 for the Unraveled Tour, which runs through May 2027.
