Latto had not one but two major reveals alongside her new song “Business & Personal.” In the music video for the braggadocious track which serves as the intro to her just-announced album Big Mama, the 27-year-old rapper reveals she’s pregnant with her first child. Latto proudly bares her growing baby bump throughout the clip, at one point winking to the camera as she raps, “Maybach that’s the Benz of the day, car seat, got a kid on the way.” In that moment, a hand belonging to her partner (fellow rapper 21 Savage) rests gently on her belly, effectively confirming the long-rumored romance.
The Atlanta native also unveiled the striking Big Mama album cover on Instagram, featuring herself posing with a baby cheetah while her bump steals the spotlight. Fittingly titled Big Mama, the new record — Latto’s fourth album — is set to drop May 29, and its name couldn’t be more perfect for this moment in her life. “I ain’t go missing, I had to give y’all time to miss me,” Latto teased in a pre-release video, bottle-feeding a cheetah cub. Now she’s officially back and blending the personal with the professional: new music on the way and motherhood on the horizon.
