Selena Gomez Marries Benny Blanco in Star-Studded Ceremony

In a surprise to fans around the world, pop star Selena Gomez and hitmaker Benny Blanco officially tied the knot this weekend. The couple exchanged vows on Sept. 27 in an intimate, fairy-tale ceremony at a seaside venue in Santa Barbara, Calif., surrounded by roughly 170 close friends and family. News of their engagement first broke in late 2024 after about a year of dating, and now the pair has made it official.

Several A-list celebrities were on hand to celebrate the newlyweds. Selena’s longtime best friend Taylor Swift was spotted at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding itself, along with comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short (both of whom costar with Selena on Only Murders in the Building) and actor Paul Rudd. Paris Hilton, Ed Sheeran, and Selena’s Wizards of Waverly Place co-star David Henrie were also in attendance, among others. Before the ceremony, Selena had hinted to The Drew Barrymore Show that humor would be a big part of the festivities. Marty [Short] is due to give a speech, she smiled, and Steve will probably pull out his banjo.

Photos released from the event show a glowing Selena in a custom Ralph Lauren gown, as the pair shared a romantic kiss under a canopy of white flowers. In the days since, friends and fans have rushed to congratulate them online. Ashley Park, who is good friends with Selena, wrote on Instagram, “Beyond special to witness your very extraordinary love… and ‘wife’ looks glorious on you.” Comedian Amy Schumer succinctly chimed in with one word under a wedding photo: “Breathtaking.” The newly married couple – who famously collaborated on hits like “Lose You to Love Me” (co-written by Blanco) – seemed to relish their special day. As a delighted guest put it, it was the “most perfect celebration of a beautifully deserving couple.”
