Seven years after her smash-hit debut, Cardi B has finally delivered her long-awaited second album – and it’s as bold as ever. The Grammy-winning rapper’s new record, titled Am I The Drama?, dropped this Friday, marking her first full-length release since 2018’s Invasion of Privacy. The 23-track album pulls out all the stops with star-studded collaborations, including appearances by Janet Jackson, Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo and Selena Gomez.
True to form, Cardi B isn’t shying away from making a statement. Some fans took to social media questioning why she included earlier hits “WAP” and “Up” on the album. Cardi fired back on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “‘WAP’ and ‘Up’ are two of my biggest songs… they deserve a home”, and bluntly adding, “These two songs don’t even count for first week sales so what are y’all even crying about???… Now let them eat cake. Go cry about it!!!” The album’s release comes amid big personal news for Cardi – she recently announced she’s expecting a baby with NFL star Stefon Diggs – and ahead of her newly announced “Little Miss Drama” arena tour kicking off in 2026.
