Radiohead Plots Long-Awaited Return With First Tour

After a seven-year hiatus from the road, Radiohead is officially returning to the stage. The legendary British band announced a run of 20 European shows, their first tour dates since 2018. The tour kicks off November 4 in Madrid, Spain, where Radiohead will play a four-night stint, before moving on to four shows each in Bologna, London, Copenhagen and Berlin through mid-December.

The “Creep” hitmakers initially stepped back from touring to allow members time for solo projects and side bands. Now, they’re reuniting and fans are elated. In a statement, drummer Philip Selway said the group informally rehearsed together last year “just for the hell of it” after the long pause. “After a seven-year break, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that’s lodged deep inside all five of us,” Selway noted. The rehearsal sparked the idea of a proper comeback: “It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of these dates. For now it will just be these ones but who knows where this will lead,” he added with a hint of more to come.

Tickets will be sold via a registration system on Radiohead’s official website. Fans can register between September 5–7 to get a code for the general on-sale starting September 12. While no additional dates have been announced yet, the prospect of Radiohead back on stage has sparked plenty of excitement – and perhaps the promise of further surprises down the line.
