Country music royalty Dolly Parton and Sheryl Crow are lending their star power to an upcoming Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser in Nashville. The two Grammy winners will be featured in SU2C’s televised special One Night, One Goal: Beat Cancer on August 15, with Crow serving as host for the evening and Parton making a special appearance. It marks the first time Stand Up To Cancer has held its biennial benefit event outside of Los Angeles; this year’s one-hour telecast will take place at The Pinnacle, a 4,500-seat venue in downtown Nashville, and will be broadcast commercial-free across more than 30 TV, cable and streaming platforms (including ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX). Organizers say additional performers and celebrity guests will be announced in the coming weeks, promising unique musical collaborations that reflect SU2C’s collaborative approach to research.
The star-studded event aims to raise money and awareness for cancer research while celebrating survivors and recent advances in treatment. “The goal of Stand Up To Cancer has always been about working collaboratively to push cancer research forward so we could help patients as quickly as possible,” SU2C co-founder Katie Couric said in a statement. “…Bringing the show to Nashville will infuse new energy and excitement into our mission.” With Parton and Crow headlining the 2025 special, the fundraiser is poised to blend Nashville’s rich musical heritage with an inspirational evening dedicated to beating cancer.
