Madonna Honors Bedtime Stories’ Legacy with Rare Demos and Visuals

30th Anniversary Reissue Featuring Demos, Alternate Versions and Rarities

Pop icon Madonna is celebrating 30 years of her album Bedtime Stories by unearthing some secrets from the vault. The singer announced a special anniversary collection titled Bedtime Stories – The Untold Chapter, set for release on November 28. The eight-track EP will feature early demos, alternate versions, and other rare cuts from the 1994 era, giving fans “a rare glimpse into the evolution” of the album’s lush R&B sound. According to Madonna’s team, the project was curated and mixed with producer Stuart Price (of Confessions on a Dance Floor fame) to craft a cohesive new sonic chapter built from unreleased material.

The commemorative release will roll out in multiple formats. In addition to a digital drop, The Untold Chapter is coming as a limited-edition black vinyl — complete with exclusive postcard sets for orders via Madonna’s official store and Rhino Records. A deluxe two-CD package is also slated, pairing the original Bedtime Stories album with the new EP and a 20-page booklet of lyrics and art. Madonna has even refreshed the visuals: the EP’s cover artwork features never-before-seen images from a 1994 photoshoot by Paolo Roversi, tying the new release back to the album’s era.

Originally released in 1994, Bedtime Stories was one of Madonna’s most genre-blending, commercially successful records — spinning off hits like “Take a Bow,” “Secret,” and “Human Nature.” Three decades later, The Untold Chapter aims to honor that legacy by pulling back the curtain on how those songs came to life. Fans old and new can revisit the Bedtime era when the anniversary EP drops next month.
