Taylor Swift is giving fans an intimate peek behind the scenes of her record-breaking Eras Tour – and the first trailer promises plenty of “End of an Era” revelations. The six-part docuseries (premiering Dec. 12 on Disney+) will chronicle the planning, spectacle and emotional journey of Swift’s stadium tour. In the newly released trailer, Swift reveals she conceived the Eras Tour concept two years before it launched, saying she designed the show to “overserve” her fans. What follows is a rapid montage of backstage moments: Swift rehearsing intricate choreography, perfecting quick costume changes, and even climbing into the covert cleaning cart she used to sneak to the stage each night.
The trailer also treats fans to glimpses of Swift’s personal life intertwining with the tour. In one scene, she rides a trolley beneath the stage alongside NFL star Travis Kelce – now her boyfriend – sharing a kiss with him as her mother, Andrea Swift, looks on. “He brings a lot of happiness,” Andrea says of Kelce in a voiceover, as the couple beams. Other clips show Swift laughing with tour mates and guest performers like Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran and Florence Welch, and planning surprise acoustic “secret songs” for her setlists.
“This was a seismic, momentous period of time in my life and in the lives of anyone this tour touched,” Swift reflects in the trailer, underscoring how impactful the Eras era has been. Along with the docuseries, Swift will release a special concert film of the tour’s final show in London. “The End of an Era” streams its first two episodes on Dec. 12 via Disney+, with two episodes dropping weekly. Swift has said she “can’t think of a better way to celebrate [her] birthday than to relive the Eras Tour” with everyone.
