John K introduces new set SALT + LIGHT

Singer-songwriter John K bares his soul on his third album, SALT + LIGHT, a deeply personal collection of pop and R&B tunes that explore the journey from pain to healing. Across 13 tracks, the rising pop artist (best known for his 2019 hit “If We Never Met”) reflects on major life changes — becoming a husband and a father — and the wisdom earned along the way. “I’ve grown into becoming a father and a husband, and my music has grown with me,” John K said of the album’s evolution. That growth shines through in honest, story-driven songs filled with heartfelt lyrics and catchy melodies.

The album’s title hints at its core themes: salt symbolizes life’s wounds and tears, while light represents the clarity and hope that follow. John K confronts heartbreak and doubt head-on in songs like the vulnerable piano ballad “Broken,” a tribute to his wife’s unwavering love, and finds gratitude in the gentle acoustic anthem “Here’s the Plan.” Meanwhile, lead single “Honey” brings a breezy mix of pop and R&B that’s already climbing the radio charts, balancing the record’s introspective moments with feel-good energy.

SALT + LIGHT not only marks John K’s strongest songwriting to date, but also his most relatable. He has expressed that he wants listeners to “feel seen” and less alone in their own highs and lows. With production from hitmakers like Rykeyz and Midi Jones, the record maintains a warm, intimate polish. John K is now taking these songs on the road for a headlining tour, eager to connect with fans as they sing along to an album born from his life’s most profound contrasts.
