Sasha Keable Unleashes Raw Emotion on New ‘Act Right’ EP

R&B songstress Sasha Keable has delivered a bold dose of honesty with her new EP Act Right. The British-Colombian singer’s latest project, released today via independent label The Flight Club, finds her “baring it all” emotionally in the wake of a devastating breakup. Across seven tracks, Keable takes listeners on a journey from heartbreak to self-assured freedom, blending nostalgic ’90s-inspired R&B with modern soul grit.

“This project comes from a place of betrayal and heartbreak,” Keable explains of her mindset crafting Act Right. “I felt like if I didn’t make this music I might lose my mind. I made this project for myself, it’s exactly what I needed.” That catharsis comes through in songs like the vulnerable opener “Feel Something,” in which she pleads to break through numbness, and the title track “Act Right,” where she pointedly confronts someone who did her wrong. The EP also boasts collaborations that elevate its sultry, soulful vibe – from the steamy slow-jam “Work” featuring Jamaican artist BEAM, to the defiant closer “Move It Along” with R&B crooner Leon Thomas. Critics have praised Act Right as Keable’s most raw and unapologetic work yet, a powerful statement of self-love and resilience that cements her status as a rising star in UK R&B.
