Ari Lennox Collaborates with Jermaine Dupri on Vacancy

Ari Lennox has teamed up with legendary producer Jermaine Dupri for her latest single, Vacancy. The sultry R&B track (co-produced by Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox) finds the Grammy-nominated singer flirting with a lover and inviting him to “fill this vacancy” in her life. Over a nostalgic soul sample and slick bassline, Lennox coos on the chorus, “Ooh, baby, I want you to fill this vacancy, come through.” The result is a smooth, late-night groove that fans say suits her smoky vocals perfectly.

The new single follows Lennox’s spring release Soft Girl Era (also produced by Dupri and Cox) and fuels excitement for her long-promised third album. In the Vacancy visualizer, Ari plays house in a retro motel room — complete with a blinking neon “Vacancy” sign — bringing the song’s theme to life. Many are praising Ari’s knack for blending classic soul vibes with modern sass, and they’re eager to hear what comes next from the So So Def songstress.
