Teddy Swims Welcomes His First Child with Raiche

Singer Shares Joyful Birth News and Adorable First Photo

Teddy Swims is officially a dad! The soulful pop/R&B singer, 32, welcomed his first child – a baby boy – with girlfriend Raiche Wright last week. The proud new parents announced the happy news on social media Friday (June 27), posting a sweet black-and-white photo of their newborn son’s tiny hand clasping theirs. “6.23.25 We love you lil man,” Teddy wrote in the Instagram caption, revealing that their son arrived on June 23, 2025.

In a touching follow-up, new mom Raiche shared the same photo to her Instagram Story and gushed, “He’s perfect and my heart is exploding! ♥️🌹.” Friends, fans and fellow musicians flooded the couple’s feeds with congratulatory messages as the post quickly racked up hundreds of thousands of likes. The “Lose Control” singer (real name Jaten Dimsdale) and Raiche, an R&B artist herself, have been dating for several years. They first announced they were expecting back in January with a beachside photo shoot, captioned, “We can’t wait to meet you, baby 🤍✨.” In those pictures, Teddy cradled Raiche’s baby bump by the ocean, radiating excitement about their growing family.

Now that their little one is here, the couple are soaking up newborn bliss. This marks the first child for both. Teddy – who has risen to fame in recent years for his powerful voice and viral cover songs – has spoken about how important family is to him. He even joked on The Kelly Clarkson Show that he considered naming the baby after his beloved Buc-ee’s (the Texas travel center) as a lighthearted tribute. While the baby’s actual name has yet to be revealed, one thing’s clear: Teddy Swims is over the moon about fatherhood. As he wrote alongside his first glimpse of his son, “We love you lil man,” it’s evident the singer’s new chapter is already filled with love.
