Drake Postpones Manchester Show Due to ‘Travel Logistics’

Drake has postponed his scheduled concert in Manchester at the last minute, citing unexpected travel issues. The rapper was set to perform a third show at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena on Monday night (July 28), but organizers announced the date will be pushed back. “Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow’s performance in Manchester on July 28 has been rescheduled,” the venue said in a statement. They added that Drake will now perform at the arena on August 5, promising an “unforgettable night” for fans on the new date.

The abrupt postponement came after Drake played two sold-out shows in Manchester on July 25 and 26, then traveled to Gothenburg, Sweden for a concert on July 27. The tight turnaround apparently created a logistical conflict, preventing Drake’s crew and equipment from returning to the UK in time for the July 28 show. Many fans, while relieved the show isn’t canceled outright, have voiced frustration at the last-minute change. Some ticket-holders say they won’t be able to attend the rescheduled August 5 gig due to work or travel plans. Despite the backlash, most fans are eager for Drake’s return. The Manchester date is part of his ongoing tour of UK and Europe, which kicked off with a headline set at Wireless Festival. With a new date on the books, local concertgoers are hoping the delay will be worth it when Drake finally hits the stage in Manchester next week.
