Global K-pop superstars BTS have a special gift on the way for their fans: the group’s first official live album ever. BTS announced that “Permission to Dance on Stage – Live” will drop on July 18, giving ARMY the chance to relive the excitement of their blockbuster concert tour from the comfort of home. “Now, we’re thrilled to announce the release of the tour’s live album,” the group’s label BigHit Music said in a statement, calling it more than just an audio recording – instead, an “immersive concert experience” that vividly captures the passion of BTS’s stadium shows.
The live album features 22 tracks recorded during the group’s Permission to Dance on Stage tour, which saw BTS perform massive sold-out concerts in cities like Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and their hometown of Seoul in 2021-2022. Fans can expect high-energy live versions of all the hit songs that made those shows unforgettable – from chart-topping anthems “Butter” and “Dynamite” to fan-favorite classics like “Boy With Luv,” “MIC Drop,” and “ON.” Each track is infused with the roar of the crowd and the septet’s trademark showmanship, bringing listeners right into the audience. It’s the first time BTS has ever released a live concert album in their decade-long career, marking a major milestone for both the group and their fandom.
And that’s not all: along with the album, BTS is releasing a digital concert film Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul on the same day. This 141-minute video will showcase the group’s Olympic Stadium finale show in Seoul (March 2022) in full HD glory. The special video package comes with a 92-page digital photobook and exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews, available via the Weverse platform. With several BTS members currently completing their mandatory military service, this live album and concert film arrive as a celebratory bridge between eras – a reminder of the group’s explosive performance power as they prepare for an eventual reunion. Come July 18, ARMY around the world will be pressing play and dancing along, reliving one of BTS’s most joyous tours one more time.
