The popular 9-1-1 television franchise is headed to Music City – and it’s bringing a country superstar along for the ride. Country singer Kane Brown has been tapped to make a guest appearance in the series premiere of 9-1-1: Nashville, the latest spinoff of the hit first-responder drama. The new show is set to debut October 9 on ABC. While details of Brown’s character are being kept under wraps, a production statement hints that he “proves to be heroic in a major storyline” during the episode. Brown himself teased the secret role on social media, telling fans in a quick Instagram video, “I can’t tell y’all what I’m doing, but it’s gonna be sick, and I’m excited!”
9-1-1: Nashville expands the successful franchise – which began with the Los Angeles-set 9-1-1 and its Texas-based sibling 9-1-1: Lone Star – into Tennessee’s capital. The series will follow emergency responders in Nashville, blending high-stakes rescue situations with the city’s famous country music backdrop. The show’s main cast already includes some real-life Nashville ties, such as actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley (wife of singer Brad Paisley) and country music star LeAnn Rimes, alongside actor Chris O’Donnell. Brown’s cameo adds an extra layer of authentic country flair for the premiere.
For Kane Brown, the acting gig is another foray into television. The multi-platinum “Heaven” singer has co-hosted the CMT Music Awards multiple times and even made his acting debut on the firefighter drama Fire Country in 2023. His fans are eager to see him on screen in a new light. Viewers will have to tune in on October 9 to catch Brown’s heroic moment and see how 9-1-1: Nashville kicks off what could be another adrenaline-filled chapter of the franchise.
