OMARION

Breaking
up is hard to do. When you are a member of a successful group,
and the members of the group go their separate ways, it is inevitable
that people will wonder whether the individual parts can be as
successful on their own as they were when they were together as
a group.
B2K’s Omarion faced this reality, when his group underwent a unexpected
and somewhat ugly split. The divide was precipitated partially
by the desire of certain members of the group to strike out on
their own with solo efforts.
Omarion never looked back and entered the studio with modest hopes.
That he did not walk into the reporting process with on unwieldy
expectations is far from a surprise, considering how down-to-earth
the singer is.
Still, considering how seriously he takes his craft, it is little
surprise that the singer’s debut, O, entered the charts
at No. 1. “Honestly, I didn’t expect it to be No. 1,” Omarion
said during a recent interview with Groovevolt.com. “I was ecstatic.”
