| Ashlee Simpson learned a hard lesson this past weekend on, "Saturday Night Live." The singer was readying her second performance when taped vocals from, "Pieces of Me," (which she had performed during the first set) mistakenly hit play during the first 10 seconds of her performance. "It was a humiliating moment for her," says a close friend. "She wanted this performance to be her crossover into an adult arena. Now many people will think she lip-syncs all of her shows and that is not true." While Jude Law (SNL Host) shrugged the fiasco off Ashlee says, "I feel so bad! My band started playing the wrong song! And I didn't know what to do." This is not to be true. The band started to play the right song and when they heard the taped vocals that were used for her performance of, "Pieces of Me," they followed in an attempt to cover up the mistake. As Ashlee quietly but abruptly walked off the stage, the band continued to play with a heavy smile on each others face. Word to Ash: Take a lesson from Britney Spears. She has this one down to the tee.
Usher could be faced with a unwelcomed videotape that could hit the internet as early as tomorrow morning. The singer apparently recorded himself and two other women performing in sexual activity. The singer was 19 years old at the time but it has been determined that it is indeed Usher. Could this hurt his career? Not a chance. The singer has been trying to live down rumors of being a closeted gay male, while also proving to the country that he is part of the Bad Boy club. This could turn heads but sales is more of a probability in this case.
Janet Jackson and Beyonce could be at war with each other. According to a source Jackson is not amused, "Beyonce pulled her duet with Jackson after the Superbowl fiasco," she adds "Janet was very hurt by the attack but Beyonce contacted her in September and asked if Destiny's Child could use the vocals for their upcoming album." In the end, Janet apparently hung up the phone and left Beyonce in the cold...Jennifer Lopez is currently heading in the studio with Timberland. The singer is not completely happy with her upcoming set while Sony wants a single by the first week of December. |
