| In
the latest issue of ‘Star Magazine,’ Britney
Spears admits to using drugs but did the news rag
go to far. Britney Spears is quoted as saying, “Let’s
just say that you a reach a stage in your life where you
are curious. I was curious at one point…Was it a mistake?
Yes.” Does this validate the story ‘Star’
ran a few weeks ago placing Britney at a nightclub snorting
cocaine. Friends of the singer disagree, “she did
not say what drug she used. It could have very well been
pot, x or any other drug on the street. Honestly, she didn’t
even say that she used drugs. The way the story is written
in a way to make them look good and to down Britney.”
Is this another Whitney Houston situation? Do we need to
send a few men in stray jackets to save Britney Spears?
Is this worth another column? No. Britney Spears is human
and like many teenagers her age, exploring is part of the
game. In the words of Britney her career is her only addiction,
“I’m way too focused to let anything stop me.”
Has Madonna lost the spark? Of her latest
video for “Hollywood,” the singer says, "Yes,
having all those material things that everybody wants and
longs for, strives for, and dreams about and then realizing
that none of those things bring you happiness. They don't
solve the problems. They don't eliminate chaos in your life.”
Sounds a lot like the publicity slogans used for single
“American Life.” While the video for “Hollywood,”
breathes new life into the falling album, Madonna seems
to be stuck on the last single and that would be incredibly
wrong. A woman who never does anything twice, has repeated
herself. Shocker.
Mariah Carey and Universal Records Group
could scrap the idea of releasing her re-packaged, Charmbracelet
album. The singer has recorded more than 16 tracks and the
label could be rushing a new album by mid-November…JC
Chavez recently met up with the Neptunes. The singer
is working on his debut solo album which is due on September
9…Nick Carter recently met up with
Ronald McDonald to see if he could help co-write “Burger,”
for his upcoming album geared to pre-school goers. Ok, I
crack me up, that was a joke. Not funny, huh? I tried. See
you dolls on July 14th. Have a great fourth of July.
