| Ms.
Blabba Mouth thinks that there's wrong doing afoot on American
Idol. Rickey Smith--who gave a
smoking performance of "Endless Love" on Tuesday night--was
voted off the show Wednesday night. So why am I suspicious?
Well, this week's loser was supposed to be voted off based
on the combination of last week's results and this week's
results. Last week, Kim was in the bottom
two. This week Kim was in the bottom two.
Yet, inexplicably, she stayed on the show and Rickey was
voted off. What is going on here? Was there some sort of
problem with the phones Tuesday night? The audience was
booing loudly when the announcement was made. Did Rickey
do something? Adding to my suspicion was the way the show
ended. Rickey's goodbye announcement seemed pre-taped and
he did not get a chance to close out the show with a song.
I suspect that we haven't heard the end of this story. In
addition, when is Carmen going to get voted off?
The plans of the members of Destiny‚s Child
in 2003 include a new album, two new movies and a Broadway
play. Beyonce‚ is releasing her solo debut
this summer which include guest appearances by Sean
Paul, Lil Kim, Jay-Z,
and a possible duet with Brandy. The songstress
will also be starring in the film, The Fighting Temptations,
with Cuba Gooding Jr. Miss Kelly
Rowland will be starring in the horror/comedy film
Freddie vs. Jason, and touring in support of her debut album,
Simply Deep. Michelle Williams is currently
working on a second gospel set and will be starring alongside
Toni Braxton this summer in the Broadway
production, Aida. The three have also recorded
a new track as Destiny's Child for The Fighting Temptations
soundtrack.
Producer Teddy Bishop, who is currently
enjoying a top ten hit with Aaliyah's "Miss
You," will be in the studio working on upcoming projects
from Sharissa, Brandy
and the aforementioned Braxton...Michael Jackson
is planning another comeback this fall. The artist is planning
to iron out differences with Sony Music in order to release
an album of new material. You should'nt hold your breath
on that little tid-bit. Michael is notorious for pushing
albums back to the next decade. Have a good weekend dolls...
