In May, the band found themselves on the other end of a lawsuit, when Garbage, its former label, Almo Sounds, and its various publishing companies were sued by Helios Music Corp. for copyright infringement and violation of the Lanham Act over the song "I Think I'm Paranoid." The suit claimed that the song infringed upon American Breed's 1967 hit, "Bend Me, Shape Me." At press time, the suit was still pending.

Meanwhile, the group was in the studio and on October 2 releases their latest effort, Beautifulgarbage. They will also hit the road beginning October 10, supporting the first part of the third leg of U2's sold-out Elevation Tour. Beautiful garbage indeed.
