Can
you blame her? Three platinum-plus albums along with Destinys
Child, a hit MTV movie, and the writing credits for the grammy-award
winning, "Survivor." In six short months, Beyonce
has branched off into a new world appropriately titled,
solo. "Im in the position right now of being able
to do what I want," she says with caution. "Ive
paid my dues the last four years. Ive written a lot
of really great songs. Im blessed. I think people respect
me now. The label trusts me and now that theyve said,
Do whatever you want, its a good thing,
but its a lot of pressure."
While her solo debut is not due til October. Beyonce
teased many with the track, "Work it Out," on the
Austin Powers soundtrack. The movie also marks her big screen
debut. "I just hope people like me in it," says
Beyonce. "I watched Shaft, Foxy Brown, and Coffy,
and definitely studied Pam Grier, because I wanted to make
sure I had the right attitude to parody those movies
